The Satisfaction Factor
One can derive much satisfaction from planning, making, and finishing a leather project no matter how simple or complex it may be. The lessons learned from this process can be applied not only to crafting but to many endeavors in life. This can be most useful to all age brackets but especially to children who can many times suprise us with talents we did not know they possessed. Most are very quick learners just looking for a channel to pour all that energy into! If your child expresses an interest in such a hobby, it may be worthwhile to look into some basic leather-making kits and see where that may lead. There are many how-to books out there even if you know nothing about leather crafting. An investment of a few hundred dollars may end up going a long way!
